intermediate school cafeteria. The students in this band
use Standard of Excellence Book 1.

Jazz Band
The Jazz Band is a community organization
in Seymour. Although it is primarilymade up of Seymour
Band students and band staff, other students and communitymembers
are invited.

Seymour High School Concert Band
Michael Carter, Director
The Seymour High School Concert band consists of 85 students
from grades 9-12.The band meets 5 days a week during the
fourth block from 1:25pm-2:55pm. Students who also participate
in the mixed choir meet for half of the band period in
the band room and half the period in the auditorium. The
students participate in individual clinics such as All-State
East, UT Honors Bandand the TSSBDA Honor Band. The band
performs a spring concert each year. Other ensembles take
place during the spring also. Those include Jazz Band
and Percussion Ensemble.
